아프리카계 미국인, 라틴계 사람, 원주민과 같은 유색인종과 소수민족은 부당하게 더 긴 시간동안 필요로 하는 새로운 장기를 기다려야함. 연구에 따르면 이러한 격차(disparities)는 제도의 변화로 방지할 수 있는 것으로 나타남.
- 진료 예약을 위한 긴 대기시간 등 시스템 수준 장벽을 변화시키는 것이 질병, 교육과 같은 다른 수준의 문제를 해결하는데 도움이 될 수 있음.
