유전자 조작 생물(GMO)에 대한 초,중,고 학생들의 인식 조사 = Perception of Elementary School, Middle School and High School Students about Genetically Modified Organism
초록 (Abstract)
The purpose of this study was to survey the perception of elementary school, middle school and high school students about GMO (Genetically Modified Organism). The survey questionnaires consisted of the following 4 main sections with 15 factors: perception on GMO, the safety of GMO, the usefulness of GMO, and the value of GMO production. Study participants were 119 elementary school, 112 middle school and 113 high school students in Daejeon, Chungnam. The statistical results of the survey show that there exist significant differences according to the level of the school in the following questions: the GMO perception, the usefulness of the GMO for solving the food problem, the safety from the fears of the disease, and the GMO production by the purpose for the cure. Thus, it is necessary not only to provide GMO contents for elementary school, middle school and high school students, but also to develop the science curriculum related to the GMO.
